Library Posts Activities

The Village Library of Morgantown, 207 N. Walnut St., has posted its upcoming programs. Additional information is available by calling 610-286-1022 or emailing smolibrary@gmail.com.

Weekly activities include Puzzles and Pals on Tuesdays from 1 to 2 p.m., for people of all ages; pinochle on Wednesdays from noon to 5 p.m., for seniors; and tai chi on Thursdays from 9 to 10 a.m., for adults.

Story times will be held on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 to 11 a.m. The themes will be "Eric Carle" on Sept. 2 and 3 and "Back to School" on Sept. 9 and 10.

Ginny Thorpe will lead a jam session from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 3. People of all ages and skill levels are welcome to join in.

The library will host movie matinees on Fridays from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The movies will be educational and appropriate for people of all ages. The selection on Sept. 4 will be "MacGillivray Freeman's Dolphins." Attendees may bring a snack, a pillow, a blanket, and any other cozy items. The library will provide popcorn.

Drawing Club will meet from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 5. The program is open to elementary school-age children, along with their parents and friends. All materials are provided.

Pokemon Club will meet on Sept. 5 from noon to 3 p.m. People of all ages are welcome to attend, and they should bring their own cards.

The library will also host Lego Club on Sept. 5 from noon to 3 p.m. The program is open to all elementary-age children, along with their parents and friends. Legos will be provided.

People may play chess at the library on Sept. 5 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. People of all ages and skill levels are welcome.

The library will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day.
