Frey Earns Ryder Driver of the Year Award

Ryder System Inc. has named Terry Frey, a longtime member of the Turkey Hill Dairy team, its Driver of the Year for Fleet Management Solutions as part of its 54th annual Driver of the Year awards.

Frey was recognized locally at a special dinner on April 20, celebrating his career and the impact he has made at Turkey Hill and throughout the Lancaster community. Attendees included Frey's family and friends, along with leadership from Turkey Hill and Ryder.

The Ryder Driver of the Year award honors a small group of drivers across the country who consistently go above and beyond in safety, service, and leadership. Each year, three drivers are selected nationally across Ryder's operations, and those honorees are inducted into the Ryder Driver Hall of Fame.

For Frey, the recognition reflects decades of steady, reliable work. He has spent 34 years as a professional driver, including more than 26 years supporting Turkey Hill Dairy. During that time, he has logged nearly 2.5 million safe miles - more than 2 million with Turkey Hill - without a single DOT-reportable accident or citation.

Those who work alongside Frey know him as someone they can count on - steady, detail-oriented, and always willing to help. He has earned the respect of Ryder technicians, Turkey Hill teams, and fellow drivers.

Outside of work, Frey is just as committed to his community. He has spent years mentoring young people and supporting organizations focused on youth development and character building.

This year's Ryder Driver of the Year honorees collectively represent millions of safe miles and decades of experience, highlighting the important role drivers play in keeping operations - and communities - moving safely.
