Lisa Zimmerman began serving as the new board chair of Eastern Mennonite Missions (EMM) on May 8. Lisa has been a member of the board of directors since 2019.

Lisa and her husband, Lee, served with EMM in Kosovo from 2006 to 2009. Prior to serving with EMM, Lisa served with Mennonite Central Committee in Akron from 2002 to 2006. In addition to serving internationally, Lisa has also assumed several roles on Mission Support Teams for other EMM workers.

Lisa received a ministry leadership degree from Lancaster Bible College in 2026. She serves as an elder and minister of discipleship and outreach at Groffdale Mennonite Church, where she and her family are members.

The previous board chair, Akeia Haddox-Rossiter, served as board chair since 2022 and previously served as voice chair for several years.
