CAP Cadets Take Part in Ceremony

A color guard from the Lancaster Civil Air Patrol Jesse Jones Composite Squadron presented the colors during the national anthem prior to the Lancaster Stormers' first home game of the season. The game, against the Long Island Ducks, took place at Penn Medicine Park on April 24.

The participating cadets were Cadet Tech. Sgt. Nathan Williams, Cadet Tech. Sgt. Brendon Ortiz, Cadet Staff Sgt. Hudson Dean, and Cadet Airman 1st Class Harrison Dean. Representing the Lancaster area, they were joined by fellow squadron members in uniform who stood at attention on the field while Cadet Senior Master Sgt. Thaddeus Lippincott held the unit guidon, a flag that represents the squadron and serves as a symbol of identity, pride, and cohesion.

Jesse Jones Squadron 304 meets each Monday except holidays at 7 p.m. in the Venture Jets hangar, which is located at the Lancaster Airport near the intersection of Lititz Pike and Millport Road. Visitors are welcome.
