VFW Donates To Library

Lititz Springs Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1463 recently presented a $250 check to the Lititz Public Library. VFW Post 1463 helped to make a new library in Lititz a reality over 20 years ago, and the group has been a sustaining supporter ever since.

In 1899, after the Spanish-American War, the national VFW movement started independently in Colorado, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. The Post 1463 is known as the oldest post in the county. Since 1990, total donations to veterans and community projects has reached $1,028,000. Post 1463 is a major contributor to Warwick High School, Lititz recCenter, Lititz Public Library, and Lititz Springs Park.
