Turnpike Commission Employees Honored

Two members of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission's IT department were recently honored for making a difference in the technology field in central Pennsylvania. Priyadharshini Rajmohan, an IT technology analyst II at the commission, was awarded the Next Gen Award and Tami Anderson, senior technology and innovation manager at the commission, was awarded the Impact Award in the Public Sector/Government category during the 10th annual Women in Technology Awards held by the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania (TCCP). The event was held on Sept. 30.

Rajmohan, who originally joined the commission in 2024 as a CEO intern, was recognized as "an up-and-coming young woman who is making a difference in technology in our region" by the TCCP for developing business intelligence and data analytics and AI solutions that help drive smarter decision-making across the commission. Rajmohan moved from India to the United States for her studies and has quickly become an emerging leader.

Anderson, who has been with the commission for 10 years, was recognized for her contributions and their impact on the public sector and government. Anderson not only leads initiatives that strengthen IT service management, IT asset management, enterprise architecture, technology governance, and quality management, but she is also a founding project sponsor of the commission's Human Trafficking Awareness Campaign, which has helped support efforts that use education, outreach, and technology to increase awareness and protect communities across Pennsylvania.

TCCP connects members and organizations to promote technology and fuel economic development. The Women in Technology initiative seeks to promote greater equity, opportunity, and inclusion across the tech industry.

In 2025, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission was recognized as a 2025 Info-Tech Innovator of the Year Award winner by Info-Tech Research Group. The commission was recognized for its Elevate IT initiative, a program that was launched in 2017 and embeds technology into all operations to address underdelivered projects.
