The library will be closed on Saturday, Sept. 5, and Monday, Sept. 7, for Labor Day, as well as on Friday, Sept. 11, for staff development.

The library will offer several ongoing programs. These activities include Accessible Yoga With Black Cat Yoga on Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 6:30 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 25, at 10 a.m.; Lititz Game Club, for players age 10 and older, on Wednesdays, Sept. 2 and 16, at 4:30 p.m.; Astronomy Enthusiasts of Lancaster County on Sept. 2 at 6:30 p.m.; Knitting Club, for knitters and crocheters, on Tuesdays, Sept. 8 and 29, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and Monday, Sept. 21, from 10 a.m. to noon. Baked Books Club on Sept. 8 at 2 p.m.; Painting Club on Wednesdays, Sept. 9 and 23, at 12:30 p.m.; Great Decisions Discussion Group on Sept. 9 at 6:30 p.m.; the Jane Austen Society on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 6:30 p.m.; Writing Club on Sept. 21 at 1 p.m.; Red Rose Quilters Guild of Lancaster Embroidery Mini Group on Sept. 23 at 1:30 p.m.; the Buckhill Sleuths Book Club on Monday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m.; and Books, Naturally: A Nature Lover's Book Club on Sept. 29 at 2 p.m.

The Lititz Art Association will not meet in September.

Members of the Blanketeers will gather to create blankets of various kinds for Project Linus on Sept. 1 and 15 at 2 p.m.

The Exploring & Growing Together discussion group will meet on Thursdays, Sept. 10 and 24, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

A Jewish Dessert Tasting and Cultural Program, for adults, will take place on Sept. 10 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Attendees will learn about the history of Russ & Daughters, a Brooklyn appetizing shop that began in 1914, and have opportunities to taste Jewish desserts and discover their origins and meaning.

Elaine Potts, a professional counselor at the Samaritan Center, will present "Grief Stories: The Unrecognized Parts of Grief: The Hidden Weight of Secondary Losses" on Monday, Sept. 14, at 6:30 p.m.

The Friends of the Lititz Library will hold a jewelry sale on Friday, Sept. 18, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 19, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Gently used and vintage jewelry will be available, and all proceeds will benefit the library.

A wine tasting with the theme "The Story of California Wines" will be held on Sept. 24 at 6 p.m. Doreen Hershey will lead the program, which is open to people age 21 and up.

The Knotwork Band will perform in concert on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 1:30 p.m. The trio performs Celtic folk music, both traditional and modern, as well as American and world music with musical or historical ties to Celtic folk music. The concert will honor the memory of William H. Sweger, who was a member of the library's board of trustees for 12 years. He joined the board during the years that led to the construction of the current library facility, and during his time on the board he held the offices of secretary, vice president, and president.

The library's fall StoryWalk title is "Tidy" by Emily Gravett. The StoryWalk begins to the right of the library entrance and moves counterclockwise around the library.

Backyard Story Times will be held outdoors at the library, weather permitting, on Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. and on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m., starting Sept. 9 and ending Thursday, Oct. 22. Attendees should bring a blanket or chairs.

Indoor Story Times will be offered from Sept. 14 to Thursday, Oct. 29.

Little Steps, for kids ages 6 to 24 months with a caregiver, will be held on Tuesdays at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m., Wednesdays 9:30 a.m., and Thursdays 9:30 a.m.

Toddler Story Time, for those ages 2 to 3 years with a caregiver, will occur on Mondays at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m., as well as on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:30 a.m. Children must be 2 by Sept. 1.

Preschool Story Time, for kids ages 3 to 5 years independent of their caregiver, is planned for Mondays at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m., and Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. Children must be 3 by Sept. 1.

Lancaster Science Factory will present Forces at Play, for kids in grades three to eight, on Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. Students will explore Newton's Third Law of Motion.
