Library Posts Hours, Programs

Kreutz Creek Library, 66 Walnut Springs Road, York, will offer programs and services to the community. Many programs will be offered virtually. Registration is required. For details and registration, visit http://www.yorklibraries.org.

The library will be open for browsing on Monday, Jan. 10. Masks are recommended, and all staff and volunteers will wear masks to ensure the safety of visitors.

The library has changed its operating hours. These hours are subject to change based on the CDC classification of COVID community transmission. The library will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays, from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Two winter story time programs will be held. Babies and Toddlers Live Story Time on Zoom will be offered on Mondays at 10 a.m. and is designed for children from birth to age 2. Preschool Story Time Live on Zoom will take place on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. for children ages 2 to 5.

Monthly Grab & Go Activities for kids ages 3 to 8 will be available for pickup from the library. The January STEAM project is a snow-themed craft.

Virtual Tween Programs for youths ages 9 to 12 will be offered on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. The Danger Club will meet on Jan. 11, and the Library Squad will gather on Jan. 25.

Spoiler Alert! A Teen Book Review Group, open to teens ages 13 to 18, will meet via Zoom from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 18. The group reads teen books and then posts reviews on Instagram and YouTube.

Kreutz Creek Library's TechTime will be available for in-person support on Thursday, Jan. 20, from 3:30 to 5:15 p.m. Patrons may receive help learning a new device, fixing problems, protecting their device, downloading books, and more.

The January Mystery at the Library, a virtual author event, will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26. The program will feature "True Crime Story" by Joseph Knox and a book discussion with the author.

The Friends of Kreutz Creek Library Branch Support Group will gather at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 25. Members will gather to exchange ideas for fundraising events and to raise awareness of the library in the community.
