Ice Cream Social Fundraiser Posted

A Scoop of Hope will hold an ice cream social fundraiser on Saturday, June 11, from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Rotary Pavilion at Manheim Township Community Park, 209 Petersburg Road, Lancaster.

The organization has its own flavor, I've Got Five On It, which is made of chocolate ice cream with a caramel swirl, cookie dough bites, brownie bites, and walnuts. In addition to ice cream, the event will feature face painting, T-shirt printing, bounce house, giveaway drawings, basketball, and a celebration of life.

Among the giveaway drawing items is a car care basket donated by Faulkner Chevrolet. This basket includes a vehicle detail bucket, an officially licensed Chevrolet hat, a travel tumbler and an oil change voucher.

A Scoop of Hope will receive 100% of the proceeds of the giveaway drawing ticket sales.

The formation of A Scoop of Hope was inspired by Michael Drury, who had struggled with addiction and was on the road to recovery when he died suddenly. Drury enjoyed ice cream and helping others, which is the mission of the organization.

The event is free. Reservations are welcome, but not mandatory. More information can be found at http://www.AScoopOfHope.com.
