PA CareerLink Lancaster County, 1046 Manheim Pike, Lancaster, will host PA CareerLink Lancaster County Awareness Day, on Thursday, Sept. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., highlighting the many no-cost services available to Lancaster County residents and employers. Whether someone is seeking a new career, exploring training opportunities, overcoming employment barriers, or looking to expand their professional network, the event will aim to provide tools and connections to help them succeed.

The event will begin with a Coffee & Conversation session featuring a discussion on workforce topics relevant to Lancaster County's business and community leaders. Job seekers are also invited to participate in a Lunch & Learn that will provide information about the unemployment compensation process, eligibility, and available resources while participants enjoy a complimentary lunch.

PA CareerLink Lancaster County Awareness Day will also include free professional headshots for job seekers; one-on-one resume reviews; career and workforce development workshops; a professional clothing bank to help individuals prepare for interviews and employment; a resource fair featuring employers, community organizations, and workforce partners; Pennsylvania Treasury resources and financial empowerment information; Record Eraser services for justice-involved individuals seeking employment opportunities; and interactive virtual reality career exploration experiences for youths through virtual reality headset technology.

On-site support will be available from the Pennsylvania Office of Vital Records, which will provide eligible Pennsylvania birth certificates to individuals who preregister by Tuesday, Sept. 1; were born in Pennsylvania; and are age 18 or older. Access to identification documents is an important step in helping individuals obtain employment and access services.

PA CareerLink Lancaster County provides employment, training, and business services to thousands of residents and employers each year. Awareness Day reflects the organization's commitment to increasing access to workforce resources and helping individuals achieve family-sustaining employment while supporting the talent needs of local businesses.
