Senior Commons at Powder Mill, 1775 Powder Mill Road, York, will offer a free caregiver support group for those who are caring for a loved one living with Alzheimer's disease or dementia on Thursday, June 16, at 6 p.m. Attendees will learn how to become a Dementia Friend, which is a person who learns about dementia so he or she can help create dementia-friendly communities.
Attendees will learn more about the Dementia Friend movement and what it is like to live with dementia, then share their knowledge with others and turn understanding into action. At the end of the one-hour session, participants will receive a certificate.
