Lititz Library Sets Programs

Lititz Public Library, 651 Kissel Hill Road, has announced its programs and activities.

Patrons picking up their items at the library are invited to check out the "I Spy" game on the front door. There are new items to spy each week.

Winter Zoom Story Time with Miss. Shannon is being held at 10 a.m. every Monday and Wednesday through Jan. 31 for children of all ages. Caretakers should email srichard@lititzlibrary.org to receive the Zoom link each week, and they should specify their preferred day of the week, along with their child's name and age.

Story time with Miss Shannon will be ongoing through January on YouTube. Stories and songs may be enjoyed at the viewer's convenience. To receive emails with the YouTube links, readers may email srichard@lititzlibrary.org.

Grab-and-go craft kits for adults will be available while supplies last in the library's community room on Saturdays, Jan. 16 and 23.

The History of Board Games and Board Game Design with Ryan Shelly will be offered via Zoom on Thursday, Jan. 14, at 6 p.m. Each participant will receive a free mini magnetic board game, and one will be chosen to receive a free modern industry board game.

Bringing Hygge Into Your Daily Life, a virtual program geared toward adults, will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15. Hygge (pronounced "hue-gah"), the national pastime of Denmark, is the Danish word for cozy, warm, or homey. A Hygge gift bag will be available to those who register and may be picked up at the library.

Individuals may register for the board game and Hygge programs by emailing their name to register@lititzlibrary.org, calling the library at 717-626-2255, or stopping by the community room. After registration, a Zoom link will be sent to participants and registrants can then pick up their mini magnetic board game or Hygge gift bag at the library.
