Zombie Fun Run Benefits Breast Cancer Coalition

The haunted attraction Field of Screams hosted its ninth annual Zombie Fun Run 5K on Nov. 13, 2021, with proceeds benefiting the PA Breast Cancer Coalition (PBCC). The Field of Screams donation will support the PBCC's programs and services, including personalized patient advocacy, the free Friends Like Me Care Package program and the PBCC Research Grants Initiative. To date, Field of Screams has contributed more than $53,000 to the PBCC.

Participants in the Zombie Fun Run experienced the thrills of being chased by zombies on a 5K course through the Field of Screams. Participants raced through mud, crawled and climbed over more than 40 obstacles and jumped through fire, all while being surrounded by movie quality scenes. Some registrants even chose to act as zombies in the showdown of runners versus zombies. The fun run course was open during the day and, for a more intense experience, under the starts.

The PBCC is a statewide nonprofit organization. The PBCC's mission is to help find a cure for breast cancer and to improve the quality of breast cancer education, research, programming and outreach in the state.
