The Elizabethtown/Mount Joy Christian Women's Connection invites area ladies to its "Plants Are My Soil Mates" brunch on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 9 a.m. at Gus's Keystone Restaurant, 1050 W. Main St., Mount Joy.   

Shelby and Neveah Hilt from Mount Joy will present a program about succulents. The musician will be vocalist Joselyn Gehman from Elizabethtown.

Theresa McGowan from Chesapeake, Va., will be the speaker. She will share,  "From Brokenness to Joy" - how to be free from fear and secrets.
