Women's Club to Hold Tea

The Lampeter Strasburg Area Woman's Club will hold its annual Tea With the American Girl on Saturday, March 28, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church, 40 W. Main St., Strasburg.

Each girl attending will have a chance to win the 2026 American Girl Doll, Raquel Reyes. The event will also include a craft, storytelling, light tea fare, and giveaway drawings with prizes including items for the dolls.

Tickets are available for purchase until Thursday, March 26, at http://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/spring-tea-3 or by contacting Elaine Benner at 717-572-7010.

The club gave back to the community in a variety of ways in 2025. The group held its third Teddy Bear Sleepover coinciding with National Fire Prevention Week in October, hosted its first Indoor/Outdoor Plant and Patio bingo to raise funds for projects, and began a sock drive to help local shelters. The club provided handmade valentines and Christmas cards to local veterans and to Evergreen Estates, gave back to four local fire companies and the Strasburg-Heisler Library, and provided scholarships for two graduating seniors and a student at Lancaster County Career and Technology Center. It supported A Week Away Foundation and Caring Hospice, gave supplies to Community Closet to support students, and sponsored two FFA jackets for the Garden Spot FFA Club.

The club meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church in Strasburg. All women are welcome.
