Women's club sets program, garage sale

The Millersville Woman's Club will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 222 N. George St., Millersville.

Suzanne Martin, a tai chi instructor, will speak about this ancient Chinese martial art and share tai chi exercises. Martin has been training in tai chi for more than 25 years with coaches that have won national and international awards in Chinese martial arts. She currently teaches students with many different needs. For example, she works with students who have multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and chronic fatigue syndrome. Martin is a certified instructor for Tai Chi for Arthritis sponsored by the National Arthritis Foundation. She regularly studies with some of the foremost authorities in Chinese martial arts.

In addition, the club will hold an indoor garage sale on Saturday, April 26, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Millersville Veterans of Foreign Wars, 219 Walnut Hill Road, Millersville. A wide variety of items will be available, including plants, books, and clothing. The club will also sell baked goods, hot dogs, and drinks.
