Waitlist Available for UDS Golf Event

The United Disabilities Services Foundation (UDS) will hold its seventh annual Service Dogs Golf Tournament on Thursday, Sept. 17, from noon to 7 p.m. The event will take place at a new location this year - the Conestoga Country Club, 1950 Stone Mill Road, Lancaster.

Although standard registration for the tournament is sold out, a waitlist is active for corporate sponsors and individual players. Should any spots become available, they will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. To join the waitlist, visit https://udservices.org/golf26/.

The UDS Service Dogs Golf Tournament helps to raise funds necessary to sustain the service dog program. The dogs are trained from puppyhood by a team of volunteers and professionals to be partnered with individuals to help them live fuller lives. These individuals include people who have a mobility disability, people with autism, and veterans experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder. Additionally, UDS trains dogs to work in schools, helping children who struggle to learn in the classroom, and to serve as Ambassador Dogs that visit individuals and businesses to spread the word about the program and share love and joy with those they meet.
