Volleyball Player Helps Team to Win Match
Manheim Central High School sophomore Eden Schwartz was key in helping her school's varsity volleyball team achieve a win in its first match of the season against the defending co-section winner, Cocalico High School. The game took place on Sept. 1 at Cocalico.
Manheim Central dropped the first set 15-25 after coming back from a 0-11 deficit. They then proceeded to turn it around and win the next three sets 25-16, 25-23, and 26-24, and ultimately the match.
During the second set, when the score was 9-9, Eden served seven consecutive points to put Manheim Central in the lead and subsequently win the set. She is in her first year as varsity setter, running a 5-1.
