The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is accepting applications for its fall training.

VITA provides free tax preparation for low- to moderate-income taxpayers over a 12- to 13-week period from February through mid-April. VITA is in need of volunteers to serve as greeters and tax preparers. No prior experience is required; VITA provides all the necessary training, and the hours are flexible.
