Pennsylvania Downtown Center (PDC) recently presented 14 awards during the organization's annual statewide Townie Awards gala. The Townie Awards are designed to recognize the commonwealth's core communities and individuals for creation and implementation of projects, programs and events that exemplify the goals of PDC's community revitalization mission. Eligible communities are those where any of PDC's nearly 200 member organizations are located.

Venture Lititz, downtown Lititz's nationally accredited Main Street America program, was recognized for its internal work, earning a Townie in the General Image & Identity category for "Committing to Core Values." The registered nonprofit - whose projects include the LititzPA.com website, Downtown Lititz on Facebook, LititzPA on Instagram, the Lititz Farmers Market, the Lititz Fire & Ice Festival, Taste of Lititz, the winter Edison bulb street lighting, the Apoca-Lititz 5K and the Night Out with Venture Lititz Gala - spent much of 2022 working to define the organization's guiding principles.

In addition, it recently launched the new Experience Lititz app. The free app is available for download on both iPhones and Android phones and provides listings and links to downtown businesses, as well as a full event calendar and a Historic Broad Street Walking Tour developed in partnership with the Lititz Historical Foundation. App users can "favorite" their most loved businesses, allowing them to receive push notifications about special events and new menu and product offerings.
