United Way sets financial literacy program

United Way of Lancaster County will offer the next installment in the Voices United series on Tuesday, April 15, from 11 a.m. to noon. The program, Money Matters: Building Financial Literacy, will celebrate Financial Literacy Month, April.

From budgeting and saving to understanding credit, investing, and managing debt, the event will aim to equip participants with the tools and knowledge they need to make informed financial decisions.

The conversation will open with a presentation from Todd Capitao, director of programming at Solanco Neighborhood Ministries.

Following the presentation, there will be a 45-minute moderated question-and-answer session to further explore the importance of financial literacy for a thriving community. Panelists will include Allyson Davis, director of family services with Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity; Kim Maldonado, director of the VITA program at United Way of Lancaster County; and Randi Shober, director of Tenfold's Financial Empowerment Center. Monika Chap, vice president and senior relationship manager at Fulton Bank, will moderate the conversation.

Voices United will be recorded and available to all registrants on YouTube and Spotify in the days following the live Zoom event.
