Twins Recognized For Good Deeds

A pair of twins from Nye Elementary School was recently recognized by Lower Dauphin Communities That Care and Hummelstown Police for their good deeds. The honorees, Emmiline and Hudson Wise, are students in Lisa Fox's kindergarten class. Fox said that the twins have befriended two fellow kindergartners who understand very little English.

For their kindness, Emmiline and Hudson were recognized by Lower Dauphin Communities That Care in the school cafeteria in front of their classmates during lunch. They were also presented with a pair of gift cards, Do the Right Thing T-shirts and certificates, and Subway coupons. This month's program sponsor was the Hummelstown Lions Club.

The Do the Right Thing program recognizes students in the Lower Dauphin community who have distinguished themselves through their accomplishments, attitude or outstanding efforts. Any adult over the age of 18 may nominate a child. For more information, readers may contact Angela Durantine at adurantine@ldsd.org.
