Samaritan Counseling Group, with funding from PA Care Partnership, will host a free, online webinar on trauma for mental health professionals, educators, and community workers who work with youths. The webinar, "Trauma 101: An Overview of Trauma-Informed Care," will take place on Wednesday, May 25, from noon to 2 p.m.

Topics will include the definition of trauma, principles and types of trauma, how brain development can be affected, post-traumatic growth, safety plans, and more. The training will be administered by Lakeside, an educational institution based in North Wales, that offers training not only focusing on trauma's impact on the brain but also providing practical interventions and strategies that may support growth and healing.
