Toastmasters Club to mark anniversary

The Elizabethtown chapter of Toastmasters International is celebrating five years as a club in September. The club was chartered on Sept. 3, 2019. It meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month at the Community Place on Washington, 61 E. Washington St., from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

To celebrate the anniversary, an open house will take place on Thursday, Sept. 19. People from the Elizabethtown community and surrounding areas are encouraged to attend to learn more about Toastmasters and the club. This is also a special year for Toastmasters International, as the organization celebrates its centennial.

Elizabethtown Toastmasters is one of 120 clubs in District 38, which covers eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey.

The officers for the 2024-25 club year are Nick Rossi, president; Matt Blazi, vice president of membership; Kevin Schafer, vice president of education; Megan Purdum, vice president of public relations; Dave Pelna, secretary; and Connor Sylvester, treasurer.
