DreamWrights Center for Community Arts and Weary Arts Group are collaborating to present "West Side Story, School Edition" at DreamWrights' Main Stage at 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and at 3 p.m. on Sundays from Friday, June 18, to Sunday, June 27. DreamWrights is located at 100 Carlisle Ave., York.

The show is directed by Manny Tellado and features a production team of professionals from both nonprofit theater groups. The participating teens have been fully masked for rehearsals and will wear masks during the performances.

"West Side Story, School Edition" transports Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" to 1950s New York City as two idealistic youths, Tony and Maria, find themselves caught between warring street gangs.
