The Trust plans concerts

The Trust Performing Arts Center, 37 N. Market St., Lancaster, has announced upcoming concerts. Tickets are available at http://www.lancastertrust.com and http://www.lbc.edu/events.

Mezzo-soprano Samantha Hankey will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12. Hankey will present a variety of repertoire, including selections from Strauss, Bizet and Debussy. The event will be held in partnership with the Lancaster Art Song Society.

The Trust Performing Arts Center will host a Lancaster International Piano Festival (LIPF) concert featuring Tanya Gabrielian at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, in the Great Hall. The program will include selections by Rachmaninoff, Bartok and Siloti.

Gabrielian has performed around the world, including at acclaimed venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York. Her passion for playing the piano was born of a tragic accident that opened her eyes to the beauty of music and its power to bring encouragement and hope. Since then, she has committed her life to bringing the joy of music to people around the world.

The LIPF series will conclude with a concert by the Elaris Duo at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 4. The husband-and-wife duo will be joined by Steinway artist Xun Pan to perform Mendelssohn's Piano Trio No. 1 in D Minor and Brahms' Piano Trio No. 1 in B Major.
