Thaddeus Stevens College Receives Grant

Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology received a $35,000 grant from the PPL Foundation. The funding will be used to outfit each of the student training stations in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology program laboratories with state-of-the-art HMIs, interfaces that connect via a network interface to programmable logic controllers/programmable automation controllers (PLCs/PACs). These are the same animated touchscreen machine interfaces used in manufacturing assembly lines to provide a graphic representation of a process in real time for operators, technicians, and engineers.

The PPL Foundation awards annual grants through a competitive application and review process. Thaddeus Stevens College was one of 12 organizations to be selected for a grant in the fall of 2021.
