Three local homeschoolers, Shayle Bigman, Harlan Taylor and Emilio Taylor, recently participated in a worldwide effort to advocate ending the use of fossil fuels. The students made posters and hung them along a fence line on Furnace Road in Geigertown on Sept. 16.

Shayle, Harlan and Emilio's signs included messages regarding the pollution caused by fossil fuels and plastic bags. The students encouraged members of the public to use reusable shopping bags to help combat climate change.
