Students Raise Funds For Off The Streets

The Conestoga Valley (CV) and Manheim Township junior high track and field programs recently teamed up to raise money for Off the Streets.

The Off the Streets foundation helps families and individuals in Lancaster get off the streets and into permanent housing. The foundation works with local service agencies to identify those who are in need and then provide a security deposit sent directly to the landlord in addition to providing basic furnishings and household items.

CV and Manheim Township joined forces and raised more than $969 for the foundation. Representatives from Off the Street visited CV's Gerald G. Huesken Middle School on May 12 to collect the money raised.
