Students of the Month Recognized

Elizabethtown Area Middle School recognized its January Students of the Month, celebrating students who demonstrate strong character, leadership and personal growth.

Honored students included sixth-graders Carson Becker, Henry Brown, Cora Miller, Landon Risser, Victoria Vizcaino and Diana Wilterdink; seventh-graders Isabella Barnes, Rylen Clugston, Colten Doster, Adalynn Esoldo, Molly Rudy and Travis Smucker; and eighth-graders Reese Hamlin, Kaylee Hollinger, Bryce Ippolito, Joshua Kiesel, Jane Morehart and Rylee Yost.

Each month, teachers reflect on the students in their teams through the lens of "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People," identifying those who exemplify a particular habit or who have shown meaningful growth in that area.

For January, the focus was on Habit Four - Think Win-Win,which emphasizes the belief that everyone can succeed and that there is enough success and opportunity to go around.

The Student of the Month recognition program is part of the school's Leader in Me initiative, which focuses on developing leadership skills, strengthening positive relationships and encouraging students to take ownership of their choices throughout the school year.
