Stauffer Earns Distinction

Robin Stauffer was presented with the Thaddeus Stevens College Distinguished Service Award at the Class of 2022 commencement on May 16. Stauffer is the executive director of High Foundation.

The Distinguished Service Award recognizes an individual's outstanding achievements and significant contributions to Thaddeus Stevens College through creativity and dedication in serving students, advocacy and leadership promoting positive change at the college, and exemplary service to the college. Recipients demonstrate values consistent with college founder Thaddeus Stevens, who believed in the dignity, civil rights, and value of each human being regardless of race, sex, religion, or heritage.

Stauffer was selected as the recipient of the award in recognition of her role in leading High Foundation's focus on cultural and economic vibrancy and the foundation's deep commitment to the Lancaster community. High Foundation's investment in education and ongoing commitment to Thaddeus Stevens College has improved the college's facilities and benefited its students, removing barriers to higher education with the goal of creating a more equitable future. Stauffer is a leader in the Lancaster community who has built, developed, and cultivated the relationship with the college, utilizing the foundation's resources to support and further its mission.

Stauffer is a member of the board of the Lancaster General Health Foundation and a past board member of the United Way of Lancaster County, where she served on the executive committee and as an inaugural member of Women UNITED. She chaired the annual countywide United Way campaign in 2008. Stauffer was recognized with the Central Penn Business Journal's Women of Influence Award for Community Achievement and more recently was inducted into its Circle of Excellence, a new award that recognizes women at the pinnacle of their careers and/or lifetime achievement.
