Sportsmen set activities

Manheim Sportsmen's Association, 552 Oak Tree Road, Manheim, has announced its upcoming activities. For details, visit http://www.manheimsportsmansassoc.org.

Trap shooting practice will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, and it will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturdays. This activity is open to the public, and supplies will be available. For further information, call 717-773-3183 or 717-725-4582.

Retirees' coffee and snack hours will be held on Mondays, May 13 and June 10, at 8 a.m. For more information, call 717-587-6957 or 717-224-0747.

Membership meetings are scheduled for Thursdays, May 9 and June 13, at 7 p.m. New member applications will be available. At the May 9 meeting, the club will present awards to the winners of the 2023 antler and turkey beard contests and the 2024 winter indoor archery league.

USCCA seminars will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, and Saturday, June 29. Space is limited. To register, email teamcentermass@gmail.com.

The club will hold its annual family picnic on Sunday, June 30, at 12:30 p.m. For more details, call Joyce Diffenderfer at 717-468-1334.

A chicken barbecue and pork sale will be held on Saturday, June 1. A meal will include a half-chicken or a pulled pork sandwich along with a baked potato, applesauce, and water. Half-chickens and 1-pound containers of pulled pork will also be available. Proceeds will support the youth programs at the club, including the BB team and the Manheim Central rifle team. Additionally, the club plans to begin supporting a youth trap shooting team.
