Sports Hall of Fame Banquet Set

The Lancaster County Sports Hall of Fame (LCSHoF) will hold its annual awards banquet on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the Eden Resort and Suites, 222 Eden Road, Lancaster. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m., and a social hour will run from 5 to 6 p.m. The dinner and program will begin at 6 p.m.

At the event, LCSHoF will recognize its 2026 award winners. Receiving the J. Freeland Chryst Sports Achievement Award and induction into the Hall of Fame will be soccer player Andrew Wenger from Warwick; Conestoga Valley's all-time winningest football coach Jim Cantafio; Lancaster Catholic and Millersville University tennis standout Dr. Lauren Witmer; and World Series champion Travis Jankowski from Lancaster Catholic.

Former long-time Cocalico football coach and educator Phil Kauffman will be honored as the 2026 George W. Kirchner Award recipient. Other award winners will be Nick Spohn, Inspirational Athlete of the Year, and Bill Smith, Kenneth G. Stoudt Volunteer of the Year. The 2026 LNP/LancasterOnline High School Senior Athletes of the Year - Cedar Crest's Kaddel Howard and Manheim Township's Jack Kenneff - will be recognized as well.
