Lancaster County Bird Club will hold a meeting on Thursday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at the Farm and Home Center, 1383 Arcadia Road, Lancaster. A short business meeting will precede the program.

Guest speaker Sandy Lockerman will present "Hummingbirds: Jewels of the Air." Lockerman, a federally licensed bird bander, will discuss some of the unique adaptations and migration mysteries of hummingbirds. In addition to her ongoing ruby-throated hummingbird project, she will provide an update on efforts to document hummingbirds in western Pennsylvania.
