Solanco advances to district final; Orvatiz sets two records

- photos by Mona Steinhauer Solanco’s Kira Roark shows some enthusiasm after clubbing a three-run homer in the bottom of the second inning against Shippensburg Tuesday, May 28. The Mares went on to win 12-2 and advanced to the District 3 5A championship game.
- In the District 3 5A semifinal at Donegal, Thursday, May 23, Solanco’s Holly Grube snags a popup as Donegal’s Adoree Gardner motors to third base. Solanco went on to win 9-2.
- Sara DeFrancesco is greeted by her teammates after clubbing a solo homer in the second inning of Solanco’s 9-2 triumph over Donegal in the District 3 5A quarterfinals on Thursday, May 23.
- Josie Janssen slides safely into second base as Shippensburg’s Tressa Tridelt tries to scoop up the ball in the District 3 5A semifinals Tuesday, May 28th in Quarryville. Solanco advanced with a 12-2 triumph.
- In a 9-2 victory, Solanco’s Ava Fedoruk sends a triple to the fence in the District 3 5A semifinal against Donegal, Thursday, May 23.
