Small Business Fall Fest Planned

Hertzog Homestead Event Venue will team up with more than 20 small businesses on Sunday, Oct. 31, from 2 to 6 p.m. for the first Celebrate Small Business Fall Fest. The event is open to the public and admission and parking will be free.

Some of the wedding or event small businesses that will be on hand are Hess's BBQ and Catering, TMD's Traveling Bar, Petal Perfect, Imagovox DJ Services, Katy Trefry Photography, Kris Becker Consulting, Celebrate Together Event Rentals and Beautifully Made Hair & Makeup.

Artisan small businesses that will be represented at the event include Spring Garden Street Studio, Homespun Felts, Moss Hollow Co., Off the Hook Creations, Created in Paper by Stacey, Pink Zebra, Rozzi Rocks and Norwex.

In addition to shopping from local small businesses, attendees will be able to enjoy free samples of food and beverages, talk with wedding vendors, visit the Craft Den, dance to live music, snap photos in the "Glamper," sit by the bonfire and tour Hertzog Homestead Event Venue. Visitors may also enter a free drawing to win prizes.

In past years, Hertzog Homestead Event Venue held similar events that were exclusive to the wedding community. However, this year, the event is not only geared to those who are planning a wedding for 2022 or 2023. It is open to those who are looking to support local artisan small businesses and maybe get a headstart on Christmas shopping

The Celebrate Small Business Fall Fest will be held at 470 W. Metzler Road, Ephrata, in the 1740s rustic barn at Hertzog Homestead. For more information and to register, visit http://www.facebook.com/hertzoghomesteadevents.
