Sipel, Lindberg recognized

Bode Sipel and Julianna Lindberg have been selected as Seniors of the Month for March at Manheim Central High School. The Manheim Women's Club sponsors the Girls of the Month, and the Rotary Club of Manheim sponsors the Boys of the Month. Seniors of the Month are chosen by the professional staff of the high school based on academic achievement, character, and involvement within the school and community.

Bode, 17, is the son of Brenda and Chris Sipel of Manheim. He is an honor roll student. During his high school career, Bode has been a member of the football, swimming, and track and field teams. He has provided many Manheim Central football volunteer opportunities at the elementary schools. He is involved in the Manheim Historical Society and Habitat for Humanity. Bode attends LCBC in Manheim. He plans to attend college to major in finance and to play football.

Julianna, 17, is the daughter of Andrew and Emily Lindberg of Manheim. She is a member of National Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, National Math Honor Society, National English Honor Society, Rho Kappa Honor Society, and quiz bowl. She participates in cross-country and track, serving as cross-country captain in 11th and 12th grades and also serving as captain of the track and field team. Julianna volunteers as part of the Interact Club.

She attends Grace Church in Lititz, where she serves as a member of the greeting team and as a small group leader for children in grades two through four. She also attends youth group at Manheim Brethren in Christ Church. Julianna has worked as a counselor at Camp Conquest for two years. She plans to attend college to major in education with a focus on English as a Second Language and to run cross-country and track.
