Servant Stage Posts Theater Classes

Servant Stage will offer theater classes every Monday night at its base of operations on the campus of Lancaster County Christian School, 2390 New Holland Ave., Lancaster. Classes will be taught by local performers and industry processionals and will focus on a variety of topics, including singing, acting, and different styles of dance, such as jazz, ballet, tap, and musical theater. Most classes are stand-alone.

Two classes will be offered every Monday, with each geared toward a different age group. Monthly specialty classes will be offered on topics like improvisation, audition preparation, and vocal techniques.

A partial schedule for upcoming Mondays has been announced. On April 4, A.K. Mullen-Johnson will teach dance classes from 6 to 7 p.m. for those ages 6 to 10 and from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. for those ages 10 to 18. Amy Meehan will teach dance classes on April 11 from 6 to 7 p.m. for people age 16 and up and from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. for those ages 10 to 18. People age 12 and up may take an acting class with Reji Woods from 6 to 8 p.m. on April 25.

A new specialty dance class, Mommy/Daddy & Me with Kristin Hurdleston, will take place on May 2 from 6 to 6:45 p.m. The class is geared for students ages 3 to 6 and their parents. Also on May 2, Woods will help people age 12 and up hone their acting skills from 6 to 8 p.m.
