Unit 543 will host an open house event at Robeson Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3520 Plow Road, Mohnton, at the church's main entrance on Monday, Sept. 19. Families can drop in anytime from 6 to 8 p.m.

Activities will include sampling food made in a Dutch oven, exploring what a camping setup for a Scout looks like, and enjoying s'mores. Door prizes will be awarded. Attendees will have opportunities to talk with the group's leaders and experienced Scouts about the world of Scouting. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be moved indoors.

Any child from kindergarten age to age 17 who registers with BSA Troop 543G on the day of the event will receive a free Scout book and troop or pack T-shirt.

Pack 543 meets at 6:30 p.m. on Mondays at Robeson Lutheran Church. Troops 543 and 543G meet every Sunday, with the time and location varying based upon the activities.
