Sauder, Fittery recognized

Nathan Sauder and Gabrielle Fittery have been selected as January's Seniors of the Month at Manheim Central High School. The Manheim Women's Club sponsors the Girls of the Month, and the Rotary Club of Manheim sponsors the Boys of the Month. Seniors of the Month are chosen by the professional staff of the high school based on academic achievement, character, and involvement within the school and community.

He captured Lancaster-Lebanon League All-Star titles in 2022 (10th place) and 2023 (eighth place). He was a member of the team that won the A-Division in the pairs tournament in 2023.

He was inducted into National Honor Society as a junior and currently serves as secretary. He was also named Learner of the Month of November in 2022.

In the community, Nathan is a member of Chiques Church, where he has been a youth group officer for four years and currently serves as president. Nathan went on mission trips to New Castle, Pa., in 2022 and Johnson City, Tenn., in 2023. He also volunteers at his church's annual day camp. Nathan has volunteered with the Manheim Project and Chiques Creek Watershed Alliance. He plans to attend college with the goal of becoming an agriculture teacher.
