Safe Communities plans retreat

Safe Communities, a Lancaster organization dedicated to preventing child sexual abuse and supporting adult survivors, will offer a retreat for survivors of childhood trauma and those who support them. The retreat, titled "Resistance, Resilience, and Re-emergence," will be held at the Hurst House Bed & Breakfast, 154 E. Farmersville Road, Ephrata, on Saturday, April 22, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The retreat will feature guest speaker Lyn Barret, author of "Crazy: Reclaiming Life From the Shadow of Traumatic Memory."
