Row House Forum to host speaker

The Row House Forum will present "Dignity Beyond Accomplishment" featuring Justin Ryan Hawkins on Friday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m. in the Square Halo Gallery, 37 N. Market St., Lancaster.

Hawkins is a scholar and theologian whose research interests include virtue ethics, disability theory, and bioethical questions related to the dignity of persons with profound cognitive disabilities. He received his doctorate with distinction from Yale University in 2024. He also holds a Master of Arts in Religion in the philosophy of religion from Yale Divinity School and a Bachelor of Arts in government from Georgetown University. He grew up in Breinigsville along with his sister, who was born with Down syndrome. He currently lives with his wife and daughter in New Haven and is a postdoctoral researcher in bioethics at Columbia University Medical School.
