The Hershey Rotary Club will host a female student from Brazil during the 2022-23 school year and is seeking one more host family in Derry Township from late November through late February.

The inbound student, Julia, is 16 years old. She is known to be an excellent student, is interested in travel and culture, and wants to learn about life in the United States. She speaks and writes English and is outgoing and open to new experiences.

Host families must live in the Derry Township School District, provide room and board, exercise normal parental responsibilities and supervision of the student, accept the student as a member of the family, and work with the assistance of the Rotary counselor if the student encounters any difficulties. The Rotary Club provides the student with a monthly allowance for expenses, and the student also has funds from her parents for clothing and entertainment. Health insurance is through this Rotary International-sponsored program. Financial requirements of the host family are limited to room and board.
