Rotary Club Names Students of the Month

The Twin Valley Rotary Club has selected Twin Valley High School (TVHS) students Ellie Kaplan and Hunter Norton as its Students of the Month for May.

Ellie served as the secretary and events chair for Student Council and was a member of National Honor Society, HS Heroes, and Varsity Club. She has remained in the top 10% of her class throughout high school while participating in athletics. Ellie has been a member of the soccer, basketball, winter track, and lacrosse teams and served as a captain on all of her teams. She earned many athletic awards, including Honorable Mention in basketball, All-Division in soccer, and All-County in lacrosse, as well as back-to-back Player of the Year awards in lacrosse in her junior and senior seasons.

Ellie has committed to the University of Michigan to continue playing lacrosse at the Division I level and plans to major in communications, with aspirations to work in sports broadcasting or journalism.

Hunter served as president of the Esports Club and was a member of the varsity bowling team. During his sophomore year, he earned the best student award in music technology, and he earned awards in German IV and creative writing during his junior year. He coached his Division 3 Rocket League team to the state championship finals in his junior year and the Rocket League and Valorant teams to Eastern Conference victories in his senior year.

After graduation, Hunter plans to attend West Chester University to pursue a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in German while being a member of the school's Rocket League team. He also hopes to earn a master's degree and a doctorate in psychology.
