The Solanco Robotics Team attended the VEX Robotics Showcase and Competition held at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology on March 26. Out of the 36 teams from central and western Pennsylvania participating, the team from Solanco won the champion banner in the competition. The team consisted of Luke Herr, Owen Underwood, Michael Brabson, Veronica Cahill, and Karl Sexton. They were instructed by Todd Brown.

The annual competition is created and overseen by VEX Robotics based in Texas. The students worked on designs and modifications for several weeks before the competition. At the competition, Solanco's team members worked together and with other teams to modify their robots and coding to adjust their designs for optimal performance. Each member of Solanco's team successfully carried out his or her role.
