In honor of Leukemia and Lymphoma Awareness Month, the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Knights of Columbus Council 3501 will host a charity restaurant night at Rubber Soul Brewing Co., 136 S. Hanover St., Hummelstown. Ten percent of all food sales plus a portion of beer sales on Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. will be donated to Smiles for Abby.

Smiles for Abby was founded by Nick Valentine, Abby's husband, in August 2023, 13 months after Abby was diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia. Smiles for Abby is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving as a resource support group providing care packages, information and lending an ear to newly diagnosed, young adult cancer patients.
