Registration for Boscov's 27th annual Friends Helping Friends event is now open. During the one-day, in-store-only promotion, Boscov's will offer further discounts on its lowest sale prices. To access the discount, customers will receive a shopping pass after donating a minimum amount to a partnering nonprofit organization, and the nonprofit organization keeps 100% of the shopping pass donation proceeds.

Jim Boscov, chairman and CEO, reported that each year, more than 3,000 nonprofit organizations participate in the event and the company raises more than $2 million in donations.

This year, the event will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 18, from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Participants can also register for the chance to receive a Boscov's gift card. There will be one winner per store.
