Redcay to Present Art Exhibit

Bob Redcay's second annual art exhibit at Bube's Brewery, 102 N. Market St., Mount Joy, will be on display from Friday, May 1, through Sunday, June 28. The artist will be on hand to discuss his work during a reception on May 1 from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibit is intended to promote the visual arts and inspire others to exercise their creativity through painting.

Redcay's artworks include acrylic paintings on preserved leaves and canvases, traditional watercolors, and framed prints. Redcay has been painting on preserved leaves for over 20 years. He enjoys the challenge of turning a leaf into a one-of-a-kind fine art project with a lighthouse, bird, or animal painted on it. Redcay occasionally offers workshops through the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen in Lancaster or private classes at other locations. In August 2024, he was awarded Master Artisan status by the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen for excellence in workmanship, resolved design, and unique voice.
