Railroad Museum Posts Programs

The Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania will offer virtual programs in January, which individuals may enjoy from the comfort of their own home. All programs will be held via Zoom. Registration is available at http://www.eventbrite.com.

A Railroading Merit Badge Workshop will be offered on Saturday, Jan. 16, at 9 a.m. Boy and Girl Scouts ages 11 through 17 can earn their merit badge in railroading, working virtually with historic artifacts and model trains and taking behind-the-scenes tours of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. There is a fee for a two-pack of tickets for one Scout and an accompanying adult. Package deals are also available for two or three Scouts and one accompanying adult.

Workin' on the Railroad will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 19, at 10 a.m. Children in kindergarten through grade six will experience railroad objects and interactive activities to learn about the jobs of the conductor, station agent, and engineer. A combination of demonstration, guided activity, and audio will be used during the program. There is a participation cost.
