R-V Industries Inc., an industrial equipment manufacturer, is among 52 Pennsylvania-based firms that have been recognized by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for approval of its Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP). The announcement marked the 14th consecutive year that R-V has earned SHARP status, indicating that it has demonstrated oustanding best practices for workplace safety as well as usage of OSHA's On-Site Consultation Program to help create a safe and healthy workplace. SHARP is voluntary.
SHARP's most recent full-service safety and health assessment was conducted on Nov. 12, 2021, and approval will last for an additional three years before reassessment is necessary. Some of the initiatives that R-V has instituted include weekly toolbox talk safety meetings and an open-door policy designed to allow safety issues to be quickly and efficiently addressed and corrected.
